European alternatives to Trello.

A European agency running client projects on Trello boards eventually has to answer a client's procurement questionnaire about who holds that project data and under what jurisdiction. Trello boards are simple enough that six clear steps cover most European destinations.

1. Export every active board from Trello first. Trello exports boards as JSON, and CSV on paid plans. Pull a full export of each board you intend to keep before touching the new tool, so you have a canonical copy independent of any importer.
2. Pick the destination by workflow, not by board count. 6. Keep Trello active, not deleted, for 30–60 days. Old cards get referenced in Slack threads and email long after a board looks abandoned, and an archived board you forgot about may still matter. Keep the workspace live until the new tool is clearly where the team works.
