A practical six-step migration plan most European email platforms will accept.

1. Export the right CSV from Mailchimp. In Mailchimp, go to Audience → All contacts → Export audience. Take the full export, not just "subscribed"; you need unsubscribes and cleaned addresses too, to avoid re-mailing people who have opted out. The export includes merge tags, date of signup, source, and tags. Keep this file as the canonical record.
2. Re-confirm consent if your list is older than 24 months. Under GDPR and the German UWG, the legal basis you originally collected has to be documentable.
